Valentine´s day is finally gone, and my birthday has appeared. Again!
.. happy holidays and a great new year everyone!
I actually stopped blogging ´cause I just recently received this email from the general manager of a bank in London:
i got your email address from our Foreign Services Department of our
Foreign
Affairs Ministry I am the accounting
officer in charge OF mr Henry espiratu
On July 20, 2002; Mr Henry espiratu a National of France, who used
to be a private contractor with the Shell Petroleum Development
Company in Saudi Arabia. Mr Henry espiratu Made a Numbered time
(Fixed deposit) for 36 calendar months, valued at GBP£30, 000,000.00
(Thirty Million Pounds only) in my Branch.
Upon maturity in 2005, I sent a routine notification to his
forwarding address but got no reply, After a month, we sent a
reminder and finally we discovered from his contract employers,
Shell Petroleum Development Company in Saudi Arabia that Mr Henry
espiratu
And his wife with their three children were involved in an
auto crash, all occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost their
lives.
On further investigation, I found out that he died without making a
WILL,and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless. I
therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr Henry
espiratu did not declare any next of kin or Relations in all his
official documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank.
Guess I´m rich. Have to thank that Foreign Services Department. I didn´t know you could earn that much money working at Shell.
According to Kineda, I´m just only a D-list blogger:
Ok, I will try to blog more and especially more frequently in 2007. Ooops, isn´t it too late for new years resolutions?
I´ve added the Snap Preview tool to this site. Checking out the sites I´m linking to is now much easier.
Obviously, all comment spam will be deleted from this web log. Recently, there were a couple of comment postings in Chinese. First, messages that include lots of links really look like spam, and secondly, not surprisingly, I don´t speak Chinese. So these comments will be deleted.
It´s a bit difficult to define which languages are acceptable: German, English, several web translateable european language, Polish and - this may sound a unfriendly to those chinese spammers - Japanese.
This month temperatures are up. Work hours are up. Stress is up. Private internet usage is way down. Internet transfer rates are at a minimum. Blogging is down. I even didn´t have time yet to post some pictures from a recent weekend break.
Next month will be better. Or worse. Less internet usage. Less downloads. More travel. Much more. More fun. More adventure. 2 weeks to go.
Heck, if mobile blogging would work, or if I´d find some time to test ist, I´d blog more. On the other hand, what to blog about from the underground?
Surprisingly, it happens every year: today is my birthday again. At least I´ve learned, that - way back in 1967 (but not on the same day) - also those people were born: Kurt Cobain, Julia Roberts, Boris Becker, Nicole Kidman and Pamela Anderson. Hm, whom would I like to meet the most? Too childish - heck, what´s my age again?
Is it funny? No idea. G Hicks sent me this movie from Hart + Larsson. It´s big - 160 MB. Crazy, you never know where you end up when clicking an unknown link.
Probably related to some people considering this blog an advertising blog, prompting a battle of the ad blogs nomination. Well, I could win a cool T-shirt. :-) Vote, vote, vote!
Now I even received ads from Scholz & Friends Berlin. Coming up soon - I´m too tired now.

Actually, it´s strange: I started my blog reading habits by reading Dave Winer´s blog, then found that there way to much content there to read. Now I´m returning. In fact, that´s the problem with many blogs - sometimes you are strongly interested in a few post over some days or even weeks. Then it turns boring. Wait (for better content) or leave - that´s the question!
In the beginning I read blogs only in the web browser. Then, when the list of interesting sites was getting bigger and bigger, I tried various feed readers and finally decided to use FeedDemon. Now, FeedDemon is full of feeds I hardly find time to read. I consider many of them interesting, but I don´t have the time to read them. When the number of unread items becomes to big, I delete some feeds.
Now, I have some of the most interesting blogs again bookmarked in the browser´s toolbar. Going in circles!
Tip: In Firefox, you can add a folder to the bookmarks toolbar.
... to all readers of this blog. I guess I will take a break from the computer in the coming days.

My blog is worth $7,903.56.
How much is your blog worth?
I´ve just added my del.icio.us feed to the sidebar of this page. Enables some light blogging. Check out davextreme how this works with Typepad - it´s easy if you the correct URL.
I´m sick of deleting these trackback spams almost everyday. Even though these links are attributed with the NO FOLLOW tag, the spammer´s don´t get it. It makes for a funny delete dialogue though.
As I started a new job - at a internet portal and hosting / consulting type of company here in Vienna - about 3 weeks ago, I find it extremely difficult to find time for blogging. Especially now during summer, when - if there´s good weather - there are lot´s of other activities available. I can´t even find the time to read all the blogs I´ve been reading previously.
A while ago I´ve read on a german blog that the most popular bloggers in the German blogosphere are those that either work for a blog hoster or service, are self-employed or students or have lots of time for some other reasons. Those, however, that have to divide their time between work, life and blogging - as I do - face some difficulties. Ah, I forgot one category of persons: if you are the sys admin at your company and can permit yourself to do blogging at the office. :-)
So expect some very light blogging in the coming weeks.
Due to reader feedback (and my personal unhappiness with that article), I updated my recent post on the movies Garden State and Somersault. Sorry, that wasn´t what you´d expect here.
